Facilities Assistant – Professional Services

Central London | £32,000–£37,000 depending on experience | 5 days in office | Immediate start

We are working with a highly regarded global professional services firm in Central London to recruit a Facilities Assistant to join their office operations team.

This is a hands‑on and varied role supporting the smooth day‑to‑day running of a busy, professional office environment. You’ll be involved across a broad range of facilities and office support responsibilities, from coordinating contractors and managing post and deliveries through to responding to day‑to‑day facilities requests and ensuring the office is consistently running to a high standard.

They are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and happy to get involved. You’ll need to be comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change throughout the day and where providing a responsive, high‑quality service to colleagues is important.

The role will include:

  • Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the office and ensuring facilities are operating effectively.
  • Coordinating and overseeing contractors and service providers attending the office.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post, couriers and deliveries, including regular post runs.
  • Responding to facilities requests and resolving day‑to‑day issues efficiently.
  • Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers to coordinate works and services.
  • Monitoring office areas and identifying anything requiring attention.
  • Supporting with general office organisation and ensuring the working environment is maintained to a high standard.
  • Assisting the wider team with ad hoc facilities and office‑related tasks as required.

About you:

  • Previous experience within facilities, office services, workplace or a similar operational support role would be beneficial.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive and willing to take ownership rather than waiting to be asked.
  • Confident dealing with contractors, suppliers and colleagues at all levels.
  • Approachable, professional and service-focused.
  • Comfortable juggling different tasks and responding quickly when priorities change.
  • A genuine team player who is equally happy working independently.
  • Available to work five days a week in the Central London office.
  • Ideally available to start immediately or at short notice.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their facilities experience within a busy and professional environment, joining an established business where you'll have plenty of variety and responsibility.
