Band 6 Locum Occupational Therapist Acute Elderly

JustOT is currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join an acute hospital team in West London, working within the acute elderly service.

This is an excellent opportunity for an OT with acute NHS experience who is confident working with older adults and supporting safe, timely hospital discharge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and treat older patients within an acute hospital setting.
• Complete functional assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Support safe and timely discharge planning.
• Recommend suitable equipment and adaptations to promote independence.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
• Manage a varied caseload while maintaining high standards of patient‑centred care.

Requirements:

• HCPC registration.
• Previous NHS acute hospital experience.
• Experience working with older adults.
• Strong assessment, communication and discharge‑planning skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an MDT.
