The role works within the Maintenance Team to operate and maintain a viable and effective preventative maintenance programme for the whole site, including the building shell and surrounding grounds, under the supervision of the line manager. It supports engineering compliance, site presentation and smooth daily operations while assisting the wider club team and members. This is a fixed-term, 40-hour-per-week position.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the facility adheres to all engineering compliance standards without putting members or employees at risk.
Monitor basic fixtures and fittings of the building to ensure they are maintained to the highest standards of order and tidiness at all times.
Adhere to daily and weekly checks to support smooth operation of the site, keeping up-to-date and accurate records.
Follow all Health & Safety policies and report any issues or concerns immediately.
Maintain the basement, plant rooms, roof and fire exits to company standards and ensure all plant and equipment is maintained.
Act proactively, use initiative and take ownership of situations such as member complaints.
Work as part of the wider club team, demonstrating a professional and courteous manner to members and assisting with queries they may have.
Fulfil Duty Shifts when required, taking responsibility and accountability during the shift and controlling staffing and facility issues throughout the club.
Required Experience & Qualifications
A technical Level 2 qualification of City & Guilds equivalent or higher.
