We’re Looking For

Job Introduction
Bradford Council Resourced Provision Service are seeking skilled and passionate SEND HLTAs to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities across the Bradford District.
We have established several successful Resourced Provisions across both primary and secondary schools throughout Bradford.
We are now seeking additional HLTAs with the skills, knowledge and experience to expand this high-quality support to other Bradford children.

Experienced in working with SEND – specifically autism and / or SEMH
Highly motivated to support inclusive practice across the Bradford district

Key Responsibilities

Plan, teach and deliver highly engaging learning for children with communication and interaction and / or SEMH needs within resourced provisions, 1:1 and / or in small groups.
Support a team of highly skilled LSAs to effectively meet the needs of children with SEND.
Work collaboratively with mainstream staff and colleagues to support the inclusive education of children with SEND in the mainstream school.
Support and extend children’s learning across primary or secondary age ranges (you will be asked for your preference at interview).
Create a nurturing, supportive learning environment in which children can thrive.
To work closely with both the RP and mainstream teams to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment for all children.
To support children’s learning, development, skills and independence so that they can achieve their full potential.

We’re Looking For

Essential Criteria –

A level 3 qualification in a relevant subject
Experience working with SEND children in a school setting
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and staff teams.
A genuine passion for working with and improving outcomes for children with SEND.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team. A proactive, flexible and creative approach to problem solving.
