Quantity Surveyor

M Group Water is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor in Glasgow to support its Scottish Water framework work. The post has a hybrid working designation and sits within the Water Division. The employer describes work across capital improvements and maintenance of water and wastewater assets, including its Caledonia Water Alliance involvement.

The surveyor will handle commercial administration and the financial aspects of the Capital Delivery Framework. Working with delivery colleagues, the role supports infrastructure for clean water and wastewater. It requires attention to cost control, recovery of value and compliance with operational and contractual requirements.

Estimates, forecasts and procurement arrangements are part of the commercial work. The surveyor will challenge variances and work with commercial, delivery and procurement colleagues. Applicants need a quantity surveying degree, or an HNC or HND in civil or mechanical engineering supported by specific commercial or surveying experience.

The employer asks for financial analysis, forecasting and reporting skills, alongside a valid UK driving licence.
