The people you support enjoy:

  • Spending time in the garden
  • Computer games

  • Working alongside Speech and Language Therapy guidance
  • Supporting people to do the things that matter to them

One gentleman communicates without words and is new to the setting. Building trust, learning his communication style and recognising additional signs of communication will be an important part of the role.

Family involvement is a key part of life here, and you'll work closely with relatives and colleagues to provide consistent, high-quality support.

Shifts

Days:

  • 7:00am – 3:00pm
  • 3:00pm – 10:00pm
  • Long Day: 7:00am – 10:00pm

Rotas are provided in advance to support planning and work–life balance.

About you

You'll be a great fit if you're:

  • A strong team player who enjoys supporting colleagues
  • Positive, hardworking and dependable
  • Proactive and willing to bring new ideas
  • Patient and observant
  • Comfortable supporting people with complex health and support needs
  • Someone who can recognise and respond to different communication styles
  • Flexible and willing to support the wider team when needed
  • Passionate about helping people achieve great outcomes
  • Keen to learn specialist skills and training

Experience is preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided, including specialist health, communication and medication training.

While a driving licence is not essential, we're particularly interested in people who are working towards driving and are keen to develop their confidence driving larger mobility vehicles in the future.
