Children's SW - CIC/Care Leavers Team - Newcastle

Join our dedicated Children's Social Work team in Newcastle, specializing in supporting Children in Care (CIC) and Care Leavers. We are seeking a passionate and qualified social worker who is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young adults. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children while ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children and young people.
• Building trusting relationships with children, families, and other professionals to facilitate effective support and intervention.
• Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care and care leavers, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support and resources.
• Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with statutory requirements and organizational policies.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

• A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
• Current Social Work England registration.
• Experience working with children and young people in a social work setting, particularly in CIC or care leaver contexts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child welfare and safeguarding.
