Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of plant machinery, including dumpers, rollers, excavators, loading shovels, and more. This position offers a competitive salary of £37,500 - £40,000 basic, with additional benefits such as overtime paid at 1.5x, a company van with a fuel card, and door-to-door pay.

Responsibilities

• Conducting routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of plant machinery.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
• Ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest standards to minimize downtime.
• Completing service reports and maintaining accurate records of work carried out.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Providing excellent customer service when working on-site or liaising with clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a plant fitter, mechanic, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of plant machinery, including dumpers, rollers, excavators, and loading shovels.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Relevant qualifications in plant maintenance or engineering (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
• Full UK driving license.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Day-to-Day

• Traveling to client sites to perform maintenance and repairs on plant machinery.
• Diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions to ensure equipment is operational.
• Communicating with clients to provide updates on work progress and any additional requirements.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including the company van.
• Collaborating with the wider team to ensure seamless service delivery.
