12-Month Initial Contract

Fully Onsite | 36.5 Hours per Week

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am to 4:00pm, with an early finish at 12:00 every Friday!

We are currently recruiting for a Supplier APQP + PPAP Engineer to join a leading global manufacturer in Peterlee on an initial 12-month contract.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of supplier quality, manufacturing, procurement and supply chain projects. You'll play a key role in supporting supplier quality initiatives, new product introductions, continuous improvement activities and supplier development programmes while working closely with both suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead supplier quality activities across multiple projects
Support NPI, Continuous Product Improvement and New Source Introduction programmes
Manage project timelines, milestones and key deliverables
Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement and Supply Chain teams
Drive APQP activities through to PPAP approval
Support supplier selection, development and performance improvement
Identify and mitigate supplier and project risks
Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

Strong Supplier Quality experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience working with suppliers, procurement and supply chain functions
Knowledge of APQP and PPAP methodologies
Strong project coordination or project management experience
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of SAP, Teamcenter, or Power BI would be advantageous but is not essential

Desirable

Experience within: Automotive, Aerospace, Rail, FMCG, Heavy Engineering or Pharmaceuticals
