• The ability to carry out routine maintenance and basic fault diagnosis.
• Strong organisation and attention to detaiL
• Good communication and digital skills.
• A willingness to support students developing their practical skills.
• Experience in a laboratory, workshop, education or training environment would be useful, but isn’t essential.

• You can work safely within engineering laboratories and workshops.
• You’re willing to maintain your current technical and occupational competence
• You can work across college sites when required.

Benefits

At Wigan & Leigh College, technical education is at the heart of what we do.

Our Engineering students learn by doing. They need access to the equipment, technology and practical environments that help turn theory into real technical skill.

As an Electrical Engineering Technician, you’ll help make that possible.

You’ll work alongside lecturers and other technical colleagues, using your practical expertise to create safe, professional learning environments where students can develop confidence with the equipment and techniques used in industry.
