Area Sales Manager – Electrical Products

Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join an established, market-leading supplier of cable accessories to the electrical wholesale sector. You will be responsible for selling a comprehensive range of cable accessories.Your customer base will include national and independent electrical wholesalers such as CEF, Edmundson Electrical and Rexel, alongside buying groups including AIEW, IBA and AWEBB. Covering the West Midlands from Oxfordshire up to Manchester.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and developing relationships with electrical wholesalers across your region.
• Driving sales growth through existing accounts and new business opportunities.
• Building relationships with branch managers, counter staff and regional decision-makers.
• Delivering product training and increasing brand awareness.
• Managing merchandising, promotions and sales incentives at branch level.

Person

We are looking for someone with experience selling into or working within the electrical wholesale sector.

• Field sales experience selling into electrical wholesalers would be advantageous.
• Candidates from internal sales or branch-based electrical wholesale roles will also be considered.
• Experience within HVAC or renewables is relevant, provided you have sold through electrical wholesalers.
• Strong relationship-building skills and a commercially driven approach are essential.

Previous field sales experience is not essential. Our client is particularly keen to consider ambitious individuals working internally for an electrical wholesaler who are looking to take their first step into an external sales role.
