PART-TIME MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

21 hours per week

Roundstone Surgery is recruiting a Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive Patient Services Team at our busy town-centre surgery in Trowbridge.

About the Role

This is a key frontline position where no two days are the same. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be a first point of contact for our patients and play an important part in ensuring they receive an efficient, professional and compassionate service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming and booking in patients
• Handling a high volume of patient enquiries, both in person and by telephone
• Managing a wide range of administrative tasks
• Signposting patients to appropriate services, information and support
• Working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues
• The role involves extensive use of clinical systems, telephony and digital tools, so excellent IT skills and confidence using computers are essential, alongside the ability to multitask and maintain accuracy in a busy environment.

What We're Looking For

• Strong customer service experience
• A high level of computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems quickly
• A friendly, professional and patient-focused approach
• The ability to stay organised and work well as part of a busy team
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts between 8.00am and 8.00pm, Monday to Friday
• Experience in general practice or another healthcare setting is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
