At Leicestershire Police we pride ourselves on recognising people with real potential. That’s why we offer our officers so much support, motivation and training because, as they improve, so will our force.

Whether you want to specialise in a particular area of policing, or progress through the ranks, our experienced leaders can help you to reach your goals. All you have to do is bring us your talent, dedication and enthusiasm and we’ll welcome you to the team.

Leicestershire Police are particularly interested in hearing from you if you are an officer with specialist skills or are a qualified Detective Constable.

• If you are a re-joiner, you will be required to undertake a 6-month probation period. If you are re-joining at a different rank or you left your previous force more than 1 year ago, you will be required to undertake a 12-month probationary period.
• Re-joiners at the same rank will re-enter the service on the pay scale point at which they left their previous force. Officers re-joining at a higher or lower rank will have their pay considered on a case-by-case basis.

What’s in it for you?

At Leicestershire Police, we want to create an environment that puts people first, so you feel supported in everything you do. We have a range of reward and benefits available to all our employees.

We value diversity and inclusion and encourage applications from underrepresented and neurodiverse backgrounds, so that we can truly reflect the communities that we serve in.

Please note we reserve the right to close this process at any time, should our required numbers be met.
