Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Are you a QA Engineer who loves automation, wants real technical ownership and is ready for your next step?

Transport Exchange Group (TEG) is looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our growing Quality Assurance team in Chippenham, Wiltshire.

This isn't a role where you will simply execute test scripts.

You will have the opportunity to build and improve automation frameworks, influence how we approach quality, work closely with our engineering teams and help shape testing across our SaaS platforms and mobile applications.

If you have a strong technical QA background and enjoy solving complex problems, we would love to hear from you.

About TEG

Transport Exchange Group is a growing B2B SaaS technology business developing market-leading software for the transport and logistics industry. With over 26 years in the industry, we combine the pace, technology and innovation of a growing software business with the stability of an established organisation.

As our Senior QA Engineer, you will work closely with Developers, Product Owners and other technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

You will be responsible for:

• Designing, developing and maintaining automated test frameworks
• Building and executing automated tests using Java and Playwright and/or Selenium
• Performing functional, regression, API and integration testing
• Testing APIs using tools such as Postman and Swagger
• Investigating complex defects and carrying out root cause analysis
• Supporting production releases and deployment validation
• Working with SQL, CI/CD, GitHub and Jenkins
• Identifying opportunities to improve automation, testing processes and overall quality
• Helping drive strong QA standards across our engineering teams

What we are looking for

We're particularly interested in hearing from you if you have:

• 6+ years' experience in Software Quality Assurance
• Strong experience with test automation

• Knowledge of SQL
• Experience with CI/CD, GitHub and Jenkins
• Experience working within Agile software development teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A genuine passion for automation and delivering high-quality software

You’ll be joining a growing engineering environment where you’ll have the opportunity to do more than simply maintain an existing test suite. We want someone who can challenge how we do things, bring ideas to the table and help us continue improving our approach to automation and quality engineering.

You will also receive:

• Salary from £50,000, depending on skills and experience
• 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
• Private Medical Insurance
• Life Assurance
• Critical Illness Cover
