Imagine being at the heart of growing the commercial success of one of York’s most iconic hotels, building relationships with businesses, agents and clients and turning new opportunities into confirmed bookings.

As our Sales Executive, you’ll be out in the market creating connections, uncovering new opportunities and putting The Grand York firmly on the map across the York and Leeds business community.

From researching new prospects and making those all-important first connections, through to hosting client meetings, site inspections and events, you’ll take ownership of your pipeline and build relationships that encourage clients to choose The Grand York time and time again.

You’ll work closely with our Sales and Meetings & Events teams, using your commercial instinct to identify opportunities, grow existing accounts and convert new business across Meetings, Corporate and Business Groups.

What You Will Do In This Splendid Role

You’ll bring energy, attention to detail, and focus to everything you do. Here’s what you’ll be up to:

• Build and grow relationships with corporate, MICE and business travel clients.
• Identify and win new business through targeted prospecting, networking and market research.
• Manage opportunities from lead generation through to confirmed booking, maintaining a strong sales pipeline.
• Develop existing accounts and drive growth in corporate transient and group revenues.
• Conduct client meetings, site visits and hotel showcases that bring The Grand York experience to life.
• Represent The Grand York at industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities.
• Work closely with colleagues across sales, marketing and operations to maximise revenue opportunities.
• Use Salesforce to manage client activity, pipeline performance and conversion.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
• Achieve and exceed revenue, activity and conversion targets.
