Ministry of Defence (MOD) Dentist

The provision of dental care in Defence Primary HealthCare (DPHC) dental centres, to enhance force generation and operational capability and minimise dental morbidity on operations. As a MOD Dentist you will be contracted for 18.5 hours per week. One hour per week may be attributed to non-clinical activities including practice meetings, training and personal administration (admin). The remainder of the contracted hours are to be utilised to provide clinical outputs and work directed towards improving and maintaining the dental health and operational fitness of personnel for whom you are responsible. Where necessary MOD Dentists will adopt a concurrent and team-based approach to ensure efficiency by completing activities such as, but not limited to referrals, lab work management, mandatory/trade specific training.
