Business Development Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial B2B media business operating within a highly valuable global professional market. Having established a strong reputation for high-quality journalism, analysis and industry insight, the business is now entering its next phase of commercial growth and is looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to join the team.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a polished, commercially minded sales professional who enjoys winning new business, developing senior-level relationships and selling creative, high-value solutions.

You’ll take responsibility for developing new business and growing commercial relationships across a portfolio of digital media and partnership opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK and international markets
• Build relationships with senior decision-makers and key industry stakeholders
• Sell tailored digital advertising, content, sponsorship and commercial partnership solutions
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and pitching through to negotiation and close
• Develop existing accounts while consistently identifying new revenue opportunities
• Work closely with the wider team to create compelling commercial propositions

Qualifications

• Degree educated or equivalent preferred

Required Skills

About You

• Approximately 2–5 years’ B2B sales experience, ideally gained within: B2B media | Digital media | Sponsorship | Events | Technology | Financial services | Insurance
• Ambitious, confident and commercially driven, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A proven new-business developer with a strong sales track record
• Polished, articulate and credible with senior-level clients
• Confident presenting and pitching commercial solutions
• Entrepreneurial and comfortable working within a smaller, fast-growing business
• Highly motivated by targets, commission and career progression

Preferred Skills

• Experience within B2B media, digital media, sponsorship, events, technology, financial services or insurance
