The Role Outline: Your Week at a Glance

Based at our Warrington Support Centre, you are the technical expert and operational commander of our entire payroll function. You will lead, mentor, and develop a dedicated Payroll Supervisor and Administrator, ensuring that all 4,500 of our fantastic team members are paid accurately and on time, every single time. You will own the Fourth payroll system, lead on all payroll related projects, and act as the ultimate advisory partner to our Finance Director and our 35 Hotel General Managers.

Your Remit: What You Will Actually Be Doing

We do not just need a data entry clerk; we need a strategic, proactive Payroll Manager. We trust you to handle:

• The Absolute Guarantee: Processing the payroll for circa 4,500 employees via Fourth, taking total ownership of accuracy, benefits administration, and timely payments.
• The Technical Mastery: Managing the serious compliance. You will flawlessly execute all HMRC submissions, complex external pension processing, payroll reconciliations, and all end of period journal entries.
• The Leadership: Managing your team. You will lead by example, mentoring your Payroll Supervisor and Administrator and sharing your in depth technical knowledge to elevate their performance.
• The Commercial Partnership: Working closely with our People & Development team and our Hotel General Managers, acting as a trusted advisor to help them manage their cost efficiencies and streamline their local payroll procedures.
