Solicitor - Housing Disrepair / Breach of Contract

Hybrid 50/50 split | Full-time, permanent | Competitive salary DOE + bonus

Standard 8 is working with a well-respected law firm to find a qualified solicitor with strong litigation experience to join their dedicated Housing Disrepair Breach of Contract team.

This is a niche, high-impact role where you'll act on behalf of social housing tenants, enforcing settlements where landlords have failed to complete agreed repairs. You'll be working post-litigation under both Part 7 and Part 8 of the Civil Procedure Rules, managing your own claimant caseload from issue to conclusion. Seeking court orders, including penal notices, will form a key part of the role.

What you'll need

• :At least 1 year’s litigation experience
• Good working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
• Ability to handle volume litigation and meet deadlines
• Confident decision-maker with strong drafting and problem-solving skills
• Housing disrepair experience is helpful but not essential
