Location: Merthyr Tydfil

Pay: £13.12 per hour

Hours: 5:45am - 2:45pm, Monday to Friday

Break: 1-hour unpaid break

Your Time at Work

We are looking for a Staff & Account Coordinator to join our team and provide day-to-day support for our busy client site.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining staff coordination, recruitment, administration and client management. You will be an important point of contact for workers and will work closely with production managers to ensure the site is fully staffed and any issues are dealt with quickly and professionally.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out morning staff check-ins and attendance checks, following up on no-shows and attendance issues.
• Meet and bring new starters onto site, ensuring they know where to report and understand site procedures.
• Conduct inductions and onboarding for new workers.
• Support recruitment, including contacting candidates, arranging interviews and processing new starter information.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with workers and deal with queries, concerns and issues.
• Work closely with production managers and supervisors to understand staffing requirements and resolve operational issues.
• Act as a key point of contact between the client, workers and Staffline.
• Deal with staff issues professionally, including attendance, performance, shift allocation and general worker queries.
• Maintain accurate staff records, attendance information and account documentation.
• Prepare and maintain Excel spreadsheets, reports and staff lists.
• Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other computer systems confidently.
• Support payroll and timesheet queries where required.
• Ensure Staffline and client procedures are followed correctly.
• Assist with recruitment campaigns and help maintain required staffing levels.
• Carry out other administrative and coordination duties required to support the account.

Working hours and flexibility

The standard working hours are 5:45am to 2:45pm, Monday to Friday, including a 1-hour unpaid break.

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate must be flexible with working hours when required. There may be occasions when an earlier start, later finish or changes to working hours are necessary to meet the needs of the client and workforce.

We are looking for someone who is organised, confident and able to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in recruitment, staffing, administration, HR or account coordination.
• Strong communication and people-management skills.
• Good administrative and organisational skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and other IT systems.
• The ability to work accurately with spreadsheets, reports and large amounts of information.
• Confidence communicating with production managers, supervisors and workers.
• The ability to deal with difficult or unexpected situations calmly and professionally.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• The ability to work independently and take initiative.
• A flexible approach to working hours when operational requirements change.
• A professional and positive attitude.
