Join the Slaters Family!

Slaters North Wales is a long-established, family-run motor group with over 100 years of history since 1923. We're proud to be the official Vauxhall and Alfa Romeo dealership in North Wales, delivering exceptional customer service alongside top-quality new and used vehicles, servicing, and aftercare.

We're looking for a friendly, organised and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our busy service team at our Colwyn Bay site. If you love cars, thrive on helping people, and want to work in a supportive, forward-thinking environment with genuine career progression, this could be the perfect role for you!

What the role involves

As our Service Advisor you will be the vital link between customers, technicians and the workshop. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming customers (in person, by phone and online) and accurately identifying their servicing, repair and maintenance needs
• Booking appointments, managing the workshop diary and ensuring efficient workshop flow
• Providing clear, professional explanations of recommended work, costs and timescales
• Preparing accurate job cards, estimates and invoices
• Liaising closely with the parts department and technicians to deliver outstanding service
• Handling customer queries, concerns and follow-ups to achieve excellent customer satisfaction scores
• Processing payments and ensuring all documentation is completed to manufacturer and company standards

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor (or in a customer-facing automotive role) is preferred
• Excellent communication and listening skills – you'll be dealing with customers every day
• A positive, can-do attitude and genuine passion for delivering great service
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Basic IT skills (workshop management systems experience is a plus)
• Full UK driving licence
• A team player who fits into our friendly, family-oriented culture

Knowledge of Vauxhall or Alfa Romeo products would be advantageous but full training and manufacturer support will be provided.

What we offer you

• Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
• Strong employment package including pension, holiday entitlement and staff vehicle servicing discounts
• Ongoing training and development with manufacturer product and systems training
• Real career progression opportunities within a growing, long-established dealership group
• A supportive, friendly team environment where people are valued
• The chance to work with exciting brands in a stunning North Wales location

Hours: Full-time (Monday-Friday, with some occasional Saturday mornings as required by the service rota).

Closing date: Applications will be reviewed as they are received - early applications are encouraged.

Slaters is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified candidates.
