Fire and Security Engineer

Area Service Engineer – Fire & Security | Kings Lynn | Up to £39,000 + OTE £50,000+

Tired of being just another number on a job sheet?

If you're a skilled fire and security engineer who's ready to work somewhere your expertise is actually noticed — and paid for — this is worth five minutes of your time.

ASEL (Argenbright Security Europe Ltd) is expanding across Kings Lynn , and we're looking for an Area Service Engineer to take full ownership of their own patch. This isn't a role where you're one of hundreds chasing a van schedule. You'll own your territory, your clients, and your reputation.

What's in it for you

• £35,000 – £39,000 starting salary (dependent on experience) — with realistic OTE of £50,000+
• Overtime available , and it genuinely moves the needle on your take-home pay
• Fully equipped company vehicle — no more using your own car and hoping for mileage
• Door-to-door pay — your day (and your pay) starts the moment you leave home, not when you clock in at a client site
• 1 in 6 on-call rota — one of the fairest in the industry, so your evenings and weekends stay yours more often than not
• Full-time, permanent — real job security in a growing national business

Why engineers choose to stay at ASEL

• You're recognised and rewarded from day one — not after two years of proving yourself
• Ongoing training on Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon and emerging platforms — we invest in keeping your skills sharp and your CV stronger
• Genuine progression — ASEL promotes from within, so this role is a step, not a ceiling
• You'll join a collaborative, high-performing team that takes pride in doing the job properly

What you'll actually be doing

You'll take full ownership of service and maintenance delivery across your SW Wales region — the face of ASEL to every client you visit. That means:

• Managing maintenance calls, reactive faults, and small project works across your own area
• Diagnosing and fixing faults across CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and fire systems
• Delivering first-time fixes — because repeat visits waste your time and the client's trust
• Building real, lasting relationships with clients, not just ticking off job numbers
• Keeping your line manager in the loop on workload and outstanding issues
• Sharing a fair 1 in 6 on-call rota

What you bring

• Proven experience maintaining integrated security systems — CCTV, intruder, access control, and fire
• Solid knowledge of IP-based security systems
• A methodical, quality-first approach to fault-finding
• A professional, customer-focused manner
• A full UK driving licence
• A genuine appetite for continuous learning

The full benefits package

• £35,000–£39,000 salary plus overtime
• Company vehicle and paid door-to-door travel
• Retail discounts and rewards platform
• Employee of the Month scheme
• 110% Club — cash and prizes for outstanding performance
• Stream — flexible, early access to your earned wages
• Employee Assistance Programme
• Option to purchase additional holidays
• Apprenticeship pathways and structured training
• Real, visible progression in a growing national business
