About the role:

justteachers is seeking a flexible and reliable General Cover Teacher to work in a secondary school in Stratford-upon-Avon from September 2026 . This varied role is ideal for an adaptable teacher who enjoys working across multiple subject areas, ensuring continuity of learning during staff absences while maintaining a positive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of curriculum subjects to pupils with SEN.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour positively using strategies appropriate for pupils with additional needs.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff to support student development.
• Provide feedback to class teachers and school leaders on pupil engagement and progress.
• Follow safeguarding policies and contribute to the wellbeing of all pupils.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills.
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
