• Identify, record and elevate vehicle defects and breakdowns
• Ensure depot paperwork and compliance checks are completed accurately
• Carry out daily depot, yard and vehicle walk-around checks
• Support daily transport planning, vehicle allocation and route changes
• Prepare and issue routes to drivers

• Use transport management, telematics and route planning systems
• Complete depot audits, gate checks and scheduled vehicle inspections
• Produce and maintain driver, vehicle and fleet performance reports
• Coordinate with external vehicle, tyre and maintenance providers
• Provide cover for other members of the depot management team when required
• Support the wider depot operation and resolve day-to-day operational issues

Ideally, you’ll have:

• A good understanding of vehicle, driver and depot compliance
• Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills
• Confidence dealing with drivers and making operational decisions
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Confidence using operational systems, data and reports
• Experience with transport management, telematics or route planning systems would be advantageous
• An HGV licence would be a strong advantage, particularly as there may occasionally be a requirement to move vehicles to and from external service providers

Package

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

Benefits include:

• Company pension
• Cycle to work scheme
• Employee discounts
• Free on-site parking
• Health and wellbeing support
• Sick pay

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation and take on a key role within a busy Grangemouth depot.

If you have experience in transport, logistics, fleet or depot operations and are looking for a hands-on supervisory position with plenty of responsibility, we’d be keen to hear from you.
