Sous Chef – 2 Rosette Gastropub

We are excited to be working with a well-respected 2 Rosette gastropub in Wokingham, celebrated for its commitment to fresh, locally sourced, and seasonal British cuisine. Owned by a former chef, this gastropub prides itself on a menu that evolves with the best ingredients available, working closely with trusted suppliers and embracing whole-animal butchery.

You must have a driving licence to be suitable for this role.

You'll be wondering what's in it for you as the Sous Chef...

• £50,000 package
• Working 48 hours per week
• Hands-on experience with whole-animal butchery and seasonal menu development

Responsibilities as the Sous Chef...

• Supporting the Head Chef in running all aspects of the kitchen, from service to supplier management
• Leading the brigade in the Head Chef's absence and ensuring smooth service
• Assisting with menu development, creating dishes that showcase the best local produce
• Maintaining high kitchen standards, ensuring consistency in food quality and presentation
• Helping manage stock levels, GP, and ordering to keep the kitchen running efficiently
• Training and mentoring junior chefs, fostering a positive and professional kitchen environment
