Commercial Litigation Solicitor - Leeds

A forward-thinking legal services organisation is seeking a Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join its growing Legal Advisory team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys delivering practical, strategic advice on disputes and helping businesses navigate risk with confidence.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will provide high-quality, timely advice on a broad range of commercial litigation and pre-claim disputes, supporting clients to understand their legal position, manage risk effectively and resolve issues as efficiently as possible.

You'll operate in a dynamic advisory environment, communicating with clients via phone and email and delivering clear, concise and commercially pragmatic guidance on contentious matters. Your focus will include early-stage dispute resolution, helping clients mitigate exposure and, where possible, avoid formal proceedings.

Alongside client advisory work, you'll maintain accurate records, meet defined service standards and guide clients toward digital tools designed to enhance their overall support experience.

Collaboration is central to this position. You'll work closely with colleagues across advisory and disputes teams to ensure seamless progression of matters where litigation becomes necessary, while also contributing to knowledge-sharing initiatives, training and content development.

About You

This role would suit a Solicitor who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused setting and is confident handling a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters.

Key requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 1 year PQE (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong grounding in commercial litigation and dispute resolution
  • Experience working within a busy legal or advisory environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distil complex legal issues into clear, practical advice
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and digital systems

Desirable:

  • Experience with case management systems
  • Exposure to insurance-backed litigation or policy coverage considerations

The Offering

This organisation is committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive culture where individuals are empowered to grow and contribute meaningfully.

You'll benefit from:

  • Agile working model - flexibility to split your time between home and office
  • A strong emphasis on cross-team collaboration and continuous improvement
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including:
  • Private pension
  • Medical insurance
  • Generous holiday allowance
  • Additional wellbeing and lifestyle benefits

This is a strong opportunity to join a modern legal business that combines litigation expertise with innovation, supporting clients through disputes while enabling your own professional development.
