School Administrator

Grade A Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced School Administrator to support a busy school on an immediate basis.

We are looking for someone who already has previous experience working within a school administration environment and is confident using Bromcom.

Due to the immediate nature of the role, the successful candidate will need to be able to hit the ground running, confidently manage a busy workload and provide effective administrative support from day one.

The Role

• Providing general administrative support to the school office and senior leadership team
• Using Bromcom to maintain and update pupil and school records
• Managing incoming telephone calls, emails and general enquiries
• Acting as a first point of contact for parents, pupils, staff and visitors
• Updating pupil information, attendance records and other school data
• Supporting with attendance administration, including monitoring absences and updating records
• Producing letters, reports, spreadsheets and other documentation
• Maintaining accurate and confidential pupil and staff records
• Supporting admissions, transfers and general pupil administration where required
• Managing correspondence and ensuring information is passed to the appropriate members of staff
• Assisting with filing, scanning, photocopying and document management
• Supporting the wider administration team during busy periods
• Following school safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection procedures at all times

Essential Requirements

• Previous school administration experience
• Previous experience using Bromcom
• A good understanding of how a busy school office operates
• Strong IT and administrative skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills
• The ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload
• Confidence communicating with parents, pupils, teachers and senior members of staff
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• A professional, organised and approachable manner
• Availability to start ASAP

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced and reliable administrator who understands the demands of working within a school environment. You will be confident dealing with competing priorities, comfortable working with sensitive and confidential information and able to adapt quickly to the school's existing systems and procedures.

This is an immediate requirement, so we particularly want to hear from candidates who can come into the school with minimal training and hit the ground running.
