Legal Administrative Support

Eden Scott is delighted to be working with a respected organisation to recruit a Legal Administrator for an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with legal administration, legal secretarial, or paralegal experience to join a professional and supportive team.

This role offers hybrid working, with the majority of work carried out remotely and occasional attendance required at the Edinburgh office.

You will provide high-quality administrative support within a legal environment, assisting with a range of responsibilities including document management, meeting administration, minute taking, and handling confidential information. This role will suit someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with complex documentation in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive legal and administrative support
• Organising and administering meetings, including preparing agendas and coordinating attendees
• Taking accurate minutes and maintaining detailed records
• Managing confidential and sensitive information with discretion
• Reviewing and processing complex documentation
• Supporting the team with general legal administration tasks
• Ensuring documents and communications meet accessibility standards and guidelines
• Building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• An LLB in Law or equivalent professional experience in a legal administration, legal secretarial, or similar role
• A minimum of one year's experience within a legal environment
• Experience handling confidential information
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• The ability to work under pressure and analyse detailed documentation
• Excellent audio typing and minute-taking skills
• A collaborative approach with strong relationship-building capabilities
• Experience working with accessibility standards and guidelines
• The ability to multitask effectively and prioritise workloads
