Local Business Development Manager

We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Local Business Development Manager to grow new vehicle sales and fleet opportunities across the local business community. Reporting to the Head of Business, you will spend much of your time in the market, meeting prospective customers, understanding their needs and creating tailored mobility solutions.

What you’ll do

You will take ownership of developing new corporate relationships and converting opportunities into long-term business.

• Spend significant time in the local market identifying, engaging and securing new corporate customers.
• Generate opportunities through targeted telephone activity, networking and face-to-face meetings.
• Act as the main point of contact for local business clients and build lasting, trusted partnerships.
• Manage the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and tailored proposals through to vehicle delivery, follow-up and repeat business.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, including business profiles, fleet sizes, key contacts and vehicle replacement cycles.
• Work closely with sales and aftersales colleagues to maximise opportunities, strengthen retention and support sustainable growth.
• Adapt your working patterns, location and activity to meet customer needs and make the most of new business opportunities.

What you’ll bring

• Proven account management and business development ability.
• Strong commercial awareness and sound business acumen.
• Confidence in negotiating, influencing and presenting solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach and the confidence to build relationships in person and by telephone.
• Experience in the Automotive industry as either a Local Business Development Manager or an experienced Automotive Sales Executive looking for the next challenge.
• The right to work in the UK.
• A full, valid UK driving licence.

This role is Monday to Friday and you will be expected to work weekends as required for sales events.
