Kitchen Supervisor

Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour + bonus of up to £1.25 per hour

Salary Equivalent: £33,930 p/a + bonus (based on a 45 hour week)

Job Type: Permanent (full-time)

We are looking for an experienced and driven Back of House Supervisor to join atis - someone who doesn’t just execute, but takes full ownership of kitchen standards, team performance and food quality. This is a role for people who lead from the front and raise the bar for everyone around them.

We are a rapidly growing company with plenty of opportunities for brilliant people to develop and progress into management.

atis is embodied by our powerful, healthy food. We prepare our products fresh in house, everyday - and the quality of that food depends on the people leading our kitchens. If you have the skills to run a high-volume kitchen and the passion to inspire a team to do it brilliantly, we want to hear from you!

We’re looking for people who want to grow with atis and take on real responsibility. We offer an amazing work culture of kindness and support, with great benefits and perks!

What you’ll be doing:

• Running and organising kitchen operations across prep and service - keeping things moving, standards high and waste low.
• Leading and motivating your kitchen team, staying calm and decisive when service gets busy.
• Coaching team members in the moment; identifying gaps in technique or knowledge and developing people’s skills.
• Taking full accountability for food quality, consistency and presentation across your shift.
• Owning food safety and hygiene standards - not just following the rules, but making sure your team does too.
• Communicating clearly with both your kitchen team and front of house to ensure smooth, coordinated service.
• Being the go-to person your team can rely on - leading by example in everything you do.
• Supporting the Kitchen Manager with stock taking, stock control and the ordering of stock.

You’ll thrive here if you have / are:

• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a fast-paced, high-volume professional kitchen.
• Someone who leads by example - rolling up their sleeves while keeping an eye on the bigger picture.
• You bring positive energy to the kitchen - the kind that lifts the team, drives performance and keeps morale high even during the busiest service.
• You show up - for your team, leading from the front and going beyond your job description when it matters.
• You obsess over quality - in every dish, in your team’s output, in the small details others might miss.
• You’re driven and excited by fast pace and constant movement - we don’t sit still. You spot what needs doing and make sure it gets done.
• You communicate clearly, openly, directly, and always with kindness. You take accountability and hold your team to the same high standard - we have no time for blame culture.
• A natural coach - someone who gets real satisfaction from seeing others improve their skills and grow.
• Composure under pressure and the ability to make quick, confident decisions during busy service.
• A passion for good, healthy food.
• Strong food safety knowledge - and the ability to enforce it across your team.
