SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Cannock
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Rate of Pay: £100 – £130 per day
Start Date: ASAP / September

Monarch Education are working in partnership with a specialist SEND school in Cannock to recruit an experienced and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant .

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within a nurturing and supportive setting, working with pupils who have a range of additional needs, mainly focused on Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs , communication difficulties, and associated behavioural challenges.

The successful candidate will provide support on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, improve social skills, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and emotionally.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND or relevant transferable skills

• Strong behaviour management skills and confidence supporting challenging behaviour

• A patient, calm, and nurturing approach

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team

• A proactive, flexible, and resilient attitude

• A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)

• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
