SEND Learning Support Assistant

We're looking for a caring, patient and proactive SEND Learning Supporting Assistant to join a small, welcoming first school in Bromsgrove. This is a close‑knit, community‑focused setting where relationships matter and every child is known, supported and valued.

The school has a nurturing SEND provision for pupils across KS1 and lower KS2, and they're seeking someone who can bring consistency, positivity and a calm presence to the team.

About the Role

• Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs)
• Providing 1:1 and small‑group support within a structured, child‑centred provision
• Helping pupils regulate emotions, build confidence and engage positively in learning
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENDCO and wider staff team
• Contributing to a safe, inclusive and encouraging environment
• Assisting with personalised learning plans and differentiated activities

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care‑based experience within the last 5 years.

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
