About the Role
As a Retail Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers, colleagues, and visitors while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Providing a visible security presence within the store
Conducting site patrols and surveillance
Incident reporting and management
Completing Daily Occurrence Book (DOB) entries
Preventing theft, loss, and anti-social behaviour
Responding professionally to incidents and emergencies
Supporting store management and staff
Building positive relationships with customers and visitors
Maintaining strong tenant and customer relations
Problem solving and conflict resolution
Ensuring all security procedures are followed
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
Own transport is essential
Excellent communication and customer service skills
A professional and confident approach
Strong observational and problem-solving skills
The ability to remain calm under pressure
A full five-year checkable employment history
Previous retail security experience is desirable but not essential
