Salary: £85.50 - £95 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a wonderful one-form-entry school in Hengoed, where staff aim to work together to create a positive and supportive learning environment. The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who shares this collaborative approach and is committed to supporting pupils to achieve their potential.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis for 1 day per week, with an immediate start. The successful Teaching Assistant will work within a specialist base supporting pupils with complex and behavioural needs, helping them engage with learning while providing consistent and appropriate support.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with ALN, complex needs or behavioural needs
• Experience working within a school or educational setting
• A patient and resilient approach to supporting pupils
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A positive and adaptable attitude
