Step Into Teaching are supporting a secondary school in Oxford who are seeking Maths Graduate Teaching Assistants.

If you hold a degree in maths, then this could be the ideal position for you. The school are looking for graduates that are enthusiastic about mathematics and have a genuine desire to better the educational outcomes of the pupils they work with.

Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant
Hold / predicted a maths degree (or related) with a 2:2 or above
Secondary school in Oxford, Oxfordshire
Full-time role, Monday - Friday
£500 -£530 per week pro rata - term time only
Chance to gain invaluable classroom experience before teacher training

The successful graduate must

A graduate with a degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
A strong understanding of mathematical concepts and curriculum content.
Experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to engage and motivate students.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A passion for education and helping students succeed.

Key responsibilities for your role

Support classroom activities and assist in delivering Mathematics lessons to students of various age groups and abilities.
Provide one-on-one or small group tuition to students who need additional help, either inside or outside of class time.
Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
Help to monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Support students with homework and assignments.
Assist with administrative duties related to student progress tracking and classroom organisation.
