Optical Assistant

Optical Assistant | Wokingham, Berkshire | Boutique Independent Practice | Up to £28,000 DOE

There's a difference between fitting glasses and helping someone find the pair that actually makes them feel like themselves. In this practice, that difference is the whole point.

About the Opportunity

Zest Optical are supporting a luxury, boutique independent practice in Wokingham, Berkshire.

This is a personalised eyecare and original eyewear practice built around a simple idea: patients deserve better than a rushed dispense off a rack. The collection reflects that - Tom Ford, Cutler and Gross, Garrett Leight, Lindberg, Moscot and Ørgreen Optics, all sitting within a considered, boutique environment where clinical excellence and genuine style advice go hand in hand.

This is a practice that invests in advanced diagnostic technology, takes the time to get eye examinations right, and treats every dispense as a chance to do something a little more special.

The Role

• Optical Assistant role within a well-established, luxury independent practice in Wokingham
• Deliver a genuinely consultative dispensing experience - helping patients choose frames and lenses that suit their face, lifestyle and personality, not just their prescription
• Work with a premium and designer frame range, including Tom Ford, Prada, Cutler and Gross, Lindberg and Moscot
• Support patients through personal frame consultations, children's dispenses and more complex lens requirements
• Be part of a close-knit team where care, precision and product knowledge are all valued equally

What We're Looking For

• Successful track record working within the optical industry already
• A genuine interest in style, eyewear trends and premium/designer product
• Strong communication skills and a naturally warm, unhurried approach with patients
• Someone who takes pride in getting the detail right, from frame adjustment to lens choice

What's on Offer

• Salary up to £28,000, depending on experience
• A boutique, design-led working environment rather than a high-volume setup
• The chance to work with genuinely exciting product
• Supportive, close-knit independent practice culture
• Professional fees and ongoing development supported
