The Role

As a Pastry Commis Chef, you will support the pastry team in the preparation and presentation of beautifully crafted desserts, pastries, and baked goods that reflect the standards and creativity of La Maison Ani. Working closely with senior pastry chefs, you will gain hands‑on experience while developing your technical skills in a professional and fast‑paced kitchen. Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and presentation of desserts, pastries, and baked goods
Support daily mise en place and service operations
Maintain consistency, quality, and attention to detail across all pastry items
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures
Ensure workstations are clean, organised, and ready for service
Work collaboratively with the pastry and wider kitchen teams to ensure smooth daily operations

About You

Previous experience as a Commis Chef, Pastry Commis Chef, or relevant pastry training is preferred
A genuine passion for pastry, baking, and dessert preparation
Eagerness to learn and develop within a professional kitchen environment
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic
Ability to remain calm and organised in a busy service environment
