Java Software Engineer

We're currently supporting multiple backend and platform engineering opportunities focused on the development of critical digital services. These contracts offer the chance to work on high-profile programmes, building scalable, cloud-based solutions whilst collaborating within multidisciplinary agile delivery teams.

The successful candidates will be involved in developing resilient microservices, API-driven applications, automated testing frameworks and cloud-native solutions, while contributing to best practice engineering, CI/CD and modern software delivery.

• Spring Boot

• Unit Testing / TDD
• CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub or Jenkins
• Kotlin
• AWS services (SQS, SNS, S3, KMS)
• Docker & Containers
• Kubernetes or ECS
• Gatling or K6 performance testing
• PostgreSQL, Redis or other database technologies
• Terraform or Infrastructure as Code
• Cloud platforms including AWS, Azure or GCP

Locations

• Remote opportunities available
• Manchester
• Leeds
• London
• Other UK delivery locations (excluding London on some assignments)
• Hybrid working, typically up to 60% onsite
• Occasional travel may be required depending on team requirements

Clearance

• BPSS
• Active SC preferred, or candidates eligible for SC clearance
