Sales Manager – Asset Finance (Hard assets) – Richmond-upon-Thames

James George Recruitment is working with a leading bank-owned equipment finance provider, part of one of Europe’s largest banking groups, to appoint a Sales Manager for their “Hard Asset” division.

This is a senior leadership role with a clear brief: set and deliver a strategy for transformational growth with manufacturers and dealers, including stocking finance. You’ll do this while protecting the business’s reputation for service and keeping margin and ROE strong. You’ll report to the divisional Head.

Key responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing sales team
• Setting the vision and strategy for growth across the hard asset markets
• Owning team targets for volume, margin and ROE
• Building partner plans for each introducer and managing key relationships
• Working with the Head of Stocking on stocking and retail finance growth
• Developing the residual value offering with the Head of Asset Management
• Designing sales incentives for the team and introducers
• Overseeing credit quality and working with credit and LOD1 to pre-qualify deals
• Reporting on performance, pipeline and market trends.

About you

• Proven sales and business development track record in asset finance and leasing
• Strong leadership and people management experience
• In-depth knowledge of the “Hard asset” finance markets
• Commercially sharp, with strong analytical and risk judgement
• An excellent communicator who builds lasting relationships
