Recoveries Account Manager – Richmond-upon-Thames (6-month fixed-term contract)

James George Recruitment is working with a leading equipment and vendor finance provider, part of a large banking group, to recruit a Recoveries Account Manager for a 6-month contract at their South West London offices.

You’ll manage your own portfolio of arrears cases in the 60–90 day category across a range of sectors. The aim is to maximise recoveries while reaching fair, sustainable outcomes for customers.

Key responsibilities :

• Managing a portfolio of 60–90 day arrears cases across multiple sectors
• Agreeing sustainable repayment plans through income and expenditure assessments
• Reviewing contract documentation to strengthen the recovery position
• Working with suppliers, vendors and brokers to improve collections outcomes
• Identifying vulnerable customers and applying the right treatment strategy
• Getting valuations on delinquent accounts from Asset Management
• Recommending bad debt provisions and write-offs where recovery isn’t viable
• Supporting early arrears and guiding colleagues through the recoveries process

About you :

• 2–3+ years’ collections experience covering bad debt, insolvency, litigation and asset recovery
• Asset finance, leasing or motor finance background (essential)
• Sound knowledge of contract law and consumer credit
• A strong negotiator and confident decision-maker
• Strong Excel skills. Alfa experience is useful but not essential
• Organised, resilient and comfortable working independently in a small team
