Head of Tax

The client is seeking an experienced Head of Tax to lead interim tax responsibilities in London. The role reports to the Group Head of Tax based overseas and will manage UK tax affairs while overseeing a portfolio of European jurisdictions, where compliance and reporting are supported by a Tax Manager and outsourced arrangements in other jurisdictions.

Responsibilities include taking a high-level review of compliance across the jurisdictions, while also being hands on in tax reporting duties for the forthcoming year-end process. Tax advisory work will focus on the current and pipeline of property acquisitions and disposals, which will form a significant part of the role, alongside liaison with external advisors.

Applicants should have a strong real estate or property tax background, including experience dealing with service charges, rents, and landlords. The position is suited to a senior tax professional who can effectively manage the Tax Manager and handle broad tax requirements. The role is expected to commence as soon as possible and run for approximately six months through to Spring 2027.
