A progressive Local Authority is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Estates Surveyor to support the management and optimisation of its diverse property portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive estates professional with strong public sector experience to play a key role in delivering asset management, income generation and property strategy objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of commercial, operational and investment properties.
Lead on landlord and tenant matters including lease renewals, rent reviews and licence negotiations.
Undertake property acquisitions, disposals and valuations.
Identify and deliver opportunities for income generation and asset optimisation.
Provide strategic property advice to senior stakeholders and service departments.
Instruct and manage external consultants, agents and legal teams.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and local authority policies.
Support wider property and regeneration projects as required.
Requirements
MRICS qualified
Proven Estates Surveying experience within a Local Authority
Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation.
Experience of acquisitions, disposals, rent reviews and lease negotiations.
Ability to manage a varied property portfolio with minimal supervision.
Excellent stakeholder management and report-writing skills
