A rare opportunity to take technical ownership of the WDM architecture for a multi-wavelength, high-speed silicon photonics compute platform, with direct influence over architecture, foundry tape-outs and production silicon.
You’ll work across the full development cycle — from architecture and PIC design through simulation, tape-out, direct foundry collaboration and first-silicon validation.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the WDM architecture, wavelength plan and optical power budget
Design and optimize AWGs, micro-rings, filters and multiplexers
Develop complex silicon photonic circuits for high-speed optical links
Model loss, crosstalk, thermal drift and manufacturing variation
Own foundry design reviews, tape-out sign-off and silicon debug
Analyze first-silicon results and feed findings into future designs
Your background:
Successful PIC tape-outs and experience with foundry PDKs
Strong knowledge of WDM, AWGs and/or resonant photonic devices
Photonic simulation and layout verification experience
MSc or PhD in Photonics, Electronic Engineering, Physics or similar
Experience with CW-WDM, high-speed optical links, Lumerical, Cadence, Python or MATLAB would be advantageous.
