Powered Access Engineer

Location: Sleaford
Salary: £38,000-£40,000 + Company Van
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm

Bennett & Game are currently working with an established company within the powered access and plant hire industry , who are looking for an experienced Powered Access Fitter to join their team in Sleaford.

This is a hands‑on position working on a range of powered access equipment, with a mixture of workshop‑based repairs, servicing and PDI checks, alongside field‑based breakdown and maintenance work .

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair powered access equipment
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
• Carry out PDI inspections and machine checks
• Attend customer sites to carry out repairs and maintenance
• Ensure equipment is safe, reliable and ready for hire
• Work independently and manage repairs through to completion
• Support the wider plant and workshop operation when required

Requirements

• Previous experience working on powered access equipment
• Strong mechanical fault‑finding and repair skills
• Confident diagnosing and repairing machinery
• Experience with plant, agricultural or similar equipment will also be considered
• Reliable, hardworking and conscientious approach
• Comfortable working both in a workshop and out on customer sites

IPAF/PAL or CAP qualifications are not essential . The key requirement is genuine hands‑on experience and the ability to confidently diagnose, repair and maintain machinery.
