Field Support Engineer - ITS

Overview

What We Expect We are currently seeking a Field Support Engineer with technical elevator knowledge and experience of our major competitors’ products to join our pioneering team in Manchester.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support to TKE field technicians across Europe, with occasional travel to give on-site support when required
• Get involved in research about new control systems and digital solutions
• Assist in the development of training simulators and product test rigs
• Undertake training as necessary to be at the forefront of industry and technological developments
• Deliver training courses to field engineers from across Europe
• Assist with the preparation of product support content for field use

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a field support engineer
• A subject matter expert in one or more our major competitors’ product lines
• Excellent communication skills: verbal, telephone and written
• Positive attitude, capable of working under pressure as part of a team
• Confident in using your own initiative and proactive thinking outside of the box
• An investigative mind-set that approaches issues from all angles, especially for the purpose of identifying workarounds for on-going incidents
• Demonstrated exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
• NVQ3 (or similar) qualification an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• It is desirable if you have language skills, especially in French (Italian or German can be also considered)
