?? £36,000–£38,000 DOE
?? Walking role across London customer sites
?? Remote support from home when not required on-site
I'm working with an established technology business looking to hire an experienced Field Print Engineer to join its Managed Print team.
This is a great opportunity for someone from a print / MFD engineering background who wants a role combining hands-on printer support, installations and basic IT support.
The business is bringing its print and IT support functions closer together, so they're looking for someone who is strong on the print side but comfortable helping customers with straightforward technical issues as well.
What you'll be doing:
Installing and configuring printers and MFDs across London customer sites
Supporting and maintaining printer fleets
Troubleshooting printing, scanning and connectivity issues
Working with PaperCut and other print-management solutions
Configuring print queues, drivers and network printers
Carrying out fault finding, preventative maintenance and firmware updates
Supporting printer rollouts and customer migrations
Providing basic remote 1st line IT support where required
Managing your own workload and customer visits independently
What they're looking for:
Experience as a Print Engineer, MFD Engineer, Photocopier Engineer or Field Service Engineer
Strong hands-on experience installing and supporting printers/MFDs
PaperCut experience highly desirable
Xerox or Ricoh experience preferred
Good understanding of networking and printer connectivity
Comfortable providing basic IT support to end users
Strong customer-facing skills
Proactive, reliable and able to work independently without being micromanaged
The environment:
High-trust management style with plenty of autonomy
Walking engineer role across London rather than a traditional van-based patch
Opportunity to broaden your skillset across both managed print and IT support
Ongoing technical training and career development
£36,000–£38,000 depending on experience
If you're an experienced print engineer looking for a role with more variety, autonomy and the opportunity to develop further into IT support, I'd be keen to speak. xwwtmva
