Heating and Plumbing Engineer

The Opportunity

We are looking for highly experienced, fully qualified Wet Workers / Plumbing & Heating Engineers to join our established team covering West, West Central and North London.

We have a strong workload and are looking for skilled, reliable and motivated engineers who take pride in their workmanship and want to be rewarded for their experience, efficiency and productivity.

This is a specialist wet works position, primarily involving powerflushing, vented and unvented hot water cylinder replacements, radiator installations, heating system repairs and fault finding .

We have opportunities for both employed and self-employed engineers, offering excellent earning potential and the opportunity to work up to six days per week if desired.

The Role – Specialist Wet Works & Heating

You will carry out a variety of specialist plumbing and central heating works in domestic properties.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out full central heating system powerflushes, removing sludge, debris and contamination.
• Diagnosing circulation problems and restoring heating system performance.
• Replacing vented and unvented hot water cylinders.
• Carrying out G3-compliant unvented hot water installations.
• Replacing radiators, valves and associated pipework.
• Carrying out central heating pipework alterations and repairs.
• Diagnosing and repairing heating system faults.
• Replacing defective heating system components.
• Working independently and managing your daily workload.
• Providing excellent customer service and high standards of workmanship.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

This position is for experienced, fully qualified engineers only.

Applicants must have:

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a qualified Plumbing & Heating Engineer.
• Extensive hands-on powerflushing experience – essential.
• Valid G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification – essential.
• Proven experience replacing both vented and unvented hot water cylinders.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating, or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Strong experience in radiator replacements, central heating repairs and pipework.
• Excellent heating system diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Professional attitude and excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and complete jobs efficiently to a high standard.

EMPLOYED – £39,000 GUARANTEED BASIC | UP TO £93,600 POTENTIAL

SELF-EMPLOYED – UP TO £120,960 GROSS POTENTIAL

Earnings figures are illustrative rather than guaranteed. Employed productivity earnings replace, rather than supplement, the basic salary when they exceed the applicable guaranteed amount. The employed annual examples use 52 weeks as an annualised calculation, not a promise of 52 weeks of productive working days. Self-employed projections use 48 working weeks and are gross before tax and expenses. Actual earnings depend on completed work, productivity, availability and agreed payment arrangements.
