We have been assigned by one of the UK's most prestigious NHS Trusts to assist in recruiting a Consultant in Emergency Medicine on either a Substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful A&E department.

Role Responsibilities

Maintain high clinical standards in patient assessment and treatment within the Emergency Department (ED).
Manage day-to-day operations of a busy ED, including reception, resuscitation, diagnosis, and initial treatment of patients.
Deliver teaching to medical staff, nurses, ENPs, ACPs, and medical students, and participate in medical and clinical audits.
Oversee clinical care of patients in the Clinical Observation and Decision Unit.
Develop specialist interests within the department's remit.
Contribute to postgraduate training, continuing medical education, and supervise junior medical staff.
Communicate with GPs and outside agencies regarding patient care, department use, and urgent issues.
Participate in clinical governance, audit, and Major Incident Procedures.

10 Programmed Activities (PAs).
