The Role
An established FMCG manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join its night shift engineering team.
You will play a key role in maintaining production equipment, minimising downtime and improving machinery reliability within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and automation faults across production and packaging machinery.
Minimise downtime and identify root causes of recurring equipment failures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Work closely with production teams to maintain efficient operations.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety standards and are accurately recorded.
About You
Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
Previous maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing, ideally FMCG or food production.
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and equipment reliability.
Ability to work independently and prioritise breakdowns on night shift
