We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead and manage an adult residential care home in Stoke-on-Trent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven care leader with a strong track record in managing adult residential services, maintaining CQC compliance and delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

We are looking for someone who can confidently take responsibility for the overall running of the home, lead and develop a dedicated team, and ensure residents receive safe, compassionate and individualised support.

Previous experience as a Registered Manager within adult social care is essential. Applicants must have a thorough understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements and the standards required to operate a high-quality residential care service.

Key Responsibilities

Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of the care home.

Ensure the service meets all CQC regulatory requirements and relevant legislation.

Lead, motivate and develop the staff team, promoting a positive and accountable working culture.

Maintain high standards of person-centred care, dignity, choice and independence.

Monitor service quality through audits, reviews and continuous improvement plans.

Oversee recruitment, staff supervision, training and performance management.

Manage safeguarding concerns, incidents, complaints and risk assessments effectively.

Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.

Ensure care plans, risk assessments and records are accurate, current and compliant.

Manage staffing, budgets and resources effectively to support the smooth running of the home.

Essential Requirements

Proven experience as a Registered Manager within an adult residential care setting.

A strong track record of managing a care service and maintaining regulatory compliance.

In-depth knowledge of CQC standards, adult safeguarding and relevant legislation.

A relevant Level 5 leadership and management qualification, or an equivalent qualification accepted for the role.

Demonstrable experience of leading, supporting and developing care teams.

Excellent organisational, communication and decision-making skills.

A commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care.

Eligibility to undertake the CQC Registered Manager role, subject to the required registration process.
